This study in tends to examine and analyze the issue of commercialization of television programs here in Taiwan. According to the 1992 statisties of the government authority, most of the television programs abide by the Broadcasting and Television Law while some violating cases only possess a small portion. This paper tries to focus on those violating cases by analyzing the program content from the regulation’s viewpoint. In order to better understand those reasons and techniques being applied, this paper will mainly discuss the main problem involved –commercialization. In conclusion, it is implied that Taiwan television workers should take responsibility for what they broadcast so as to establish a good and proper structure of business for now and the future.
