Abstract
Program represents the licensee, the audience market, and the promising of public service. Program quality control is an ongoing challenge for broadcasters. This article attempts to integrate contemporary quality control knowledge and concepts with that of program production. The writer reviewed mainstream publications in quality control to construct the framework. Then studied the program quality control practices in Taiwan broadcasting stations. Problems as lacking of evaluation standard, no quality control agency, insufficient of quality control training were detected. Thus, practical suggestions to promote a total quality management system for elevating program quality were provided.
