Editorial Report

“Journal of Audio-visual Media and Technologies” was launched in July 1992 by the Department of Radio and Television, National Chengchi University. The journal is published twice a year. The purpose of this journal is to encourage innovative research related to broadcasting technologies and new media and to provide a platform for academic dialogue and exchange for Asia’s communication research community.

This journal seeks innovative, timely, and original research articles, which systematically analyze the trends of electronic broadcasting media and digital communication, in order to promote the development of academic knowledge and respond to practical problems. We welcome theoretical or empirical research with various research methods that analyze audiences, new technology, society, psychology, culture, politics, economy, and policy among other diverse topics in both Chinese and English.

Starting from the year 2020, the National Central Library has instituted the ‘Taiwan Academic Resources Influence’ award. JAMT was consecutively was affirmed the third most cited for Long-Term Knowledge Communication Award: Communications Field for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Additionally, JAMT was achieved the fifth place in the Journal Instant Communication Award: Communication Field in 2020.

The journal website has been revamped in December 2009 and will be launched in February 2020.

The journal announced as an annual publication in 2024.
